New Hire Lens...

We have all felt the feeling of newness, no matter what scenario you would like to lump that in with. For this entry, I would like to touch on this familiar feeling of being the “new” guy/girl with Frontier.

Unlike most discussions about employment, I am going to throw us all the way back to my initial interaction with our HR department. Following my application, our wonderful Chief People Officer-HR Kelsey reached out to me, by way of email (which I provided during my application process), and immediately my first interview was set and ready to go. If you are naturally nervous, like me, you know that the environment has a huge part in the flow of your interview. Upon my arrival, I was welcomed with open arms by our sweet Elizabeth (Reception/Administrative). I had not even been hired yet and they made sure that I was well taken care of from start to finish. This genuine feeling of inclusion and interest is one that has been consistently provided to me by every member of the faculty here at our Company. My second and final interview honestly felt as though I was walking into my job already before I was offered the position. Taigan (Appointment Center Supervisor) and Britney (Marketing Team Supervisor) spoke with me as if we were conversing about something we had been discussing for years and made sure that I felt comfortable and appreciated for just making it to the second phase of our interviews. Once again, this wave of authenticity was made prevalent in more ways than they could have ever made it clear verbally. From there, I was offered my position by way of email (again, linked with my application) from RJ- our HR Intern. And he walked me through every question that I threw him and without making me feel like I was burdensome or inadequate for asking as many questions as I did (sorry RJ 😊). *Cue the continuation of welcomeness. *

My first week here with Frontier was filled with appreciation, scooping-under-the-wing by every department (I mean, seriously! They have been so good to me!), honest feedback of skills and trainings, an ample amount of time and space to familiarize myself with my new surroundings, and just going back to that welcoming culture that meets you at the door every morning from my first day (orientation) all the way to me being settled into my department. Also, it was extremely comforting for me to see the Company’s Owners in and busy within their company every single day. That is something that I have never witnessed in my time in the workforce. Talk about hardworking and dedicated. What you see is genuinely what you get with Frontier in all the amazing ways possible. This honestly is the breath of fresh air that I so badly needed, and I have not one complaint to add to my journey so far.

I wanted to use our platform to share the perspective of our team internally not only to showcase the well-deserved praises for our teams’ interactions for new/prospective hires, but also to show our customers that our pride in that family feel is widespread throughout our networking reach, and beyond. Coming from a military background (moving around can be so hard on me emotionally and socially as we must uproot very often), it is very comforting and reassuring that I am exactly where I need to be. Judy, Layne, and Dustin (Brittney) Geber, thank you so much for establishing a haven for us to feel proud to work in each day. I am very grateful and will forever be for being right where I need to be. I am excited to see where my journey leads me with Frontier. We are just getting started!
